The application period for 2023 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Public Services funding opened at 8:00 AM on Monday, July 25th, and closes at 2:00 PM on Friday, September 2nd. This funding is available to not-for-profits, 501(c)3 organizations, and government agencies to provide services to low and moderate-income persons. Each organization will be limited to one application with a maximum award of $30,000.


The city of Peoria receives CDBG funding each year from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Up to 15% of their annual funding amount can be used towards public service programs that serve low and moderate-income persons. Eligible applications will be reviewed by the CDBG Public Services Advisory Commission and agencies will be notified of funding decisions following City Council approval.


Interested organizations are encouraged to attend a virtual application training session. City staff will offer a virtual application training session on Thursday, July 28th at 10:00 AM. Log-in information for the virtual application training sessions is available at development/neighborhood-development-division/.

on under the “Applications and Forms” tab under “CDBG Public Services.”
