February 3, 2020 (Peoria, IL) On Thursday, March 19th, the city of Peoria will host the 2020 Neighborhood Reception at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 3601 N North Street, Peoria, Illinois, 61604, from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM. The public is invited to an evening of entertainment, refreshments, and fun.  This event will celebrate the accomplishments of neighborhood associations and community advocates who have worked diligently alongside their neighbors, the City of Peoria, and the community at-large to improve the quality of life in their communities. Awards in a variety of areas will be given out at the event.

The Community Development Department will accept nominations for the 2019 Award Recipients now through Friday, February 28th, 2020. Nomination forms can be found at www.AppreciatePeoria.com. All residents are encouraged to nominate a leader in their community who works hard to improve our neighborhoods. Nomination forms can be submitted to Neighborhood Enhancement Coordinator Kaylee Drea at kdrea@peoriagov.org.

The Neighborhood Reception is an opportunity for the city of Peoria to recognize, honor, and celebrate local leaders who go above and beyond in their efforts to decrease blight, address social issues, and build community in our neighborhoods giving us more reasons to appreciate Peoria.
