Using funds from the Illinois Housing Development Authority, the City made accessibility repairs to three homes. This included low-threshold showers with grab bars, widened doors, and other, smaller changes and additions. With these repairs, three Peoria residents w ho have accessibility needs are now able to use their showers and bathrooms more easily, aligning well with the City’s goal of improving the accessibility and well-being of its neighborhoods. See below “after-pictures” of one of the homes that received repairs.
