The City of Peoria Community Development Department held a booth at this year’s Bradley Spring Job and Internship Fair. The fair was held in the Renaissance Coliseum on February 21st from 11am-3:30pm. Students of all ages benefit from the fair because of its diverse offering of part-time and full-time opportunities across all fields.  Over 900 students typically attend the fair to explore career options and network. Community Development staff was pleased with the number of students who were interested in local government, and the even greater number who were looking to stay local for their post-graduation plans. Community Development staff made several meaningful connections with students who had questions about the workings of city government, opportunities for upward mobility within the city, and what the city is currently doing to enhance lives of Peoria citizens.
