From October 4-6, several staff members from Community Development attended and presented at the 2018 RNNC (Regional Neighborhood Network Conference) in Dayton, Ohio. The presentation highlighted the shift in the Code Enforcement division from enforcement to education and encouragement followed by enforcement. This included programs including 100 Blocks in 100 Days, Good Job Door Hangers, and other educational programs.
The RNNC is an annual three day conference hosted by one of over 20 Midwestern cities across five states: Indiana, Ohio, Illinois, Kentucky, and Tennessee. Neighborhood leaders including volunteers, corporations, local governments, and community leaders gather to learn from each other and gain valuable ideas to help transform their own community.
